Hafsat Akande is a multi-talented educator, entrepreneur, and advocate for women's empowerment. With a strong academic foundation, Hafsat holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Maiduguri, a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from Usman Dan Fodio University, an MA in English from the University of Port Harcourt, an MEd from the National Open University of Nigeria, and a PhD in Educational Administration from Ignatius Ajuru University. A seasoned educator with a passion for teaching, Hafsat has taught in various institutions and owns Greenfigs International Schools in Port Harcourt. Her entrepreneurial spirit led her to establish a successful FMCG business, serving as a major distributor for Multipro Consumer Products Limited and PZ Cussons Nigeria for over 10 years. Hafsat's love for spice and spice mixing inspired her to start Hafsatspicequeen, a suya and spice business she runs from home.
She is also the founder of the online platform ThatAfricanMom and the convener of the AfricanMom Women's Summit, a platform dedicated to empowering women and girls. As a strong advocate for ending period poverty, Hafsat continues to inspire and empower women and girls through her various initiatives.
